Round #3, Eastern Bluebird vs. White-Throated Sparrow
The Yellow Warbler Takes It!
Well, Lucas got another one with the Yellow Warbler on Round #2. (I was rooting for the Yellow Rumped Warbler.) Votes have been sparse, so I will donate $1 for any bird pick (not just a winning pick), and donate another $5 per person who votes for each remaining round (for a maximum donation of $100). :)
It’s an Eastern Bluebird versus a White-Throated Sparrow in Round #3! Vote on the NRF site, then comment below with your pick. I hate to say it (because I love an adorable Eastern Bluebird), but I don’t think this round is a real competition. If it weren’t an NRF photo, I’d think the White-Throated Sparrow was Photoshopped. How did that little guy even fly? Nature is amazing.
I chose to do a pair of cardinals for this doodle because we’ve had TWO pairs of cardinals hanging out in our backyard, as well as three male goldfinches, and a pair of mourning doves. Also, I’m celebrating: no bunnies in the newly fenced wildflower patch today! What birds have you noticed outside lately?
